If you ever want to feel VERY unoriginal, try to come up with a clever blog name. Good grief. After MUCH deliberation, I had finally settled on www.itsamoopoint.blogspot.com, a reference to one of my favorite quotes from NBC’s “Friends”:
Joey: All right, Rach. The big question is, "does he like you?" All right? Because if he doesn't like you, this is all a moo point.
Rachel: Huh. A moo point?
Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.
Rachel: Have I been living with him for too long, or did that all just make sense?
Apparently, about 10 million other people and their dog had some combination of that phrase as their blog name. So much for being “original.” *Sigh*. So the search continued…
In another attempt to pay tribute to “Friends”, I decided to title my individual blog posts starting with the phrase “The One…..” (the format the show’s writers used to title each episode). Unfortunately, naming the blog www.theone.blogspot.com made it sound like a matchmaking site. Gag. (Can you hear the eHarmony theme song playing?)
So why “Caffeine and Jesus”? A few years ago (ok, maybe a little more than a FEW) when I was in college, I was in over my head with work and school. It was a great semester, but sleep was…not very existent. When people would ask how I was, I would respond with “I’m just running on caffeine and Jesus!” So there you go! This blog will be a hodgepodge of random observations, thoughts, and recaps of events in my life and my family’s life. Life can definitely get crazy, so I say grab a latte, say a prayer, and enjoy the ride!

Love it! By the way, how is Stanley...lol. What adventure did he get to take apart of today?
ReplyDeleteStanley almost got away from me yesterday! I went to pick up some cupcakes for work (so of course I got a picture of Stanley in the cupcake shop!), and when we walked outside a gust of wind came by and he was GONE! It took me a full 5 minutes of frantic searching to find him. He had flown into a bush. haha! He looked so funny I should have taken a picture, but I was worried another gust of wind would come through and get him again. Close call! I would NOT have won any "Cousin of the Year" awards if I lost my second grade cousin's Flat Stanley! :) Stanley will be passing out candy tonight to trick or treaters, woo hoo! :) See you next Wednesday, have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI need like 5 shots of expresso in that latte (And extra heavy on the prayer)!
ReplyDelete'Friends' is my all time favorite sitcom! I absolutely love it! I tried being original with my blog name too but I guess there are other people out there that think like me. I didn't think someone else would have already picked 'Lifes Just Peachy' but someone did beat me to it!
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! you let flat Stanley get away!!!! I am afraid that flat Stanley and Ned are chilling out somewhere without us. I will round up my pics of Ned in travel so Flat Stanley and Ned can compare notes and travel secrets.

Several years ago I had a Stanley for about a week and my kids and I had great fun taking pictures of his many adventures. The wind tried to kidnap our Stanley once as well.
ReplyDeleteI'll say a prayer, have my coffee with a bit of cream, and enjoy reading your blog. Nice job.
Well, as I like to say "the Lord loves a theme" and I think your blog has a good one! Very original. =)
ReplyDeletePS - I don't really say that but it sounds kind of catchy, right?
Thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteAnd Flat Stanley has been mailed back to TX. Sad day! I might post his adventures on this blog, soon. hehe!
